I figured no harm in asking. Is there a way to withdraw account balance from a suspended PayPal account? I was defrauded and the hacker used my information for criminal activity on several of my accounts. Is the money just gone? PayPal customer service representatives just send me in circles and refuse to give me a clear answer.

When an account is permanently limited, you have to wait 180 days for an email from PayPal saying it’s ok to withdraw with instructions on how to. However, if the reason for the limitation is for violating the Acceptable Use Policy, the funds could be seized for liquidated damages. If you’re not getting anywhere with customer services, file a complaint at bbb.org under PayPal San Jose, CA to explain your situation. I would suggest filing a police report to submit making it official that you were defrauded.
