I received a message from a friend I am not that familiar with on Facebook Messenger trying to give me $5,000 via PayPal. This must be a scam, right? Am I allowed to say her name? Her initials are BJG.

Hello @lizzbo,
Welcome! I'm glad you reached out to check on this kind of situation. While we can't comment on the legitimacy of a friend wanting to give you money - whether it's $5 or $5,000 - I can offer you the following Help Center article: What are common scams and how do I spot them?
I hope that helps,
- Jon K
