Scammer using different emails and requesting money...how do I track this scammer?

I have received two money requests from a scammer who is using different emails. This is really annoying and is fraudulent activity. Paypal needs to develop a functionality to disable from getting money requests from contacts not in our list. Come on Paypal..I'm sure you have programmers who can do that!  paypalfraud.JPG

Scammers harvest email addresses and send out those requests hoping some email addresses are linked to paypal accounts and the unsuspecting recipient 'may' pay them not realising they are scams.

If there is a cancel option then cancel it, if not ignore it and hopefully it should time out at some point.

As long as you don't click to pay it then no money should be transferred.

I spent time & effort and then also tied up PayPal Assistant and follow-on with agent, for one simple reason - "NOTE" section of the PayPal Transaction page has Convincing Text that the "$499" will be paid by PayPal [in 24 hours].  Most of us in rushed daily lives, with Casual Use of the Transaction page, might easily miss the fact that the "NOTE" section is NOT FROM PAYPAL.  IF this field was labeled "NOTE FROM REQUESTOR," That would head off 99% of us still wondering if the Note should be taken seriously.

(One item I haven't seen mentioned - because the Phishing Email HAS MY NAME in it, it forestalls seeming suspicious... and logging into PayPal to see the same notice in the under-named "NOTE" field only reinforces "It Might Be Legit."

Would the powers-that-be consider forwarding the below "Help" to management pronto?  THANKS!!

CHANGE REQUEST -- The "NOTE" section of a "payment" (request) shown on webpage SHOULD BE LABELED PROPERLY, "NOTE FROM REQUESTOR."
