Receiving error messaging when trying to file a dispute

I keep receiving a error message “something is wrong on our end” when trying to file a dispute. I was trying to file a dispute for a invoice I made payments on and the seller canceled my order but didn’t refund me. I started the process on the last payment I made but quit halfway to file a dispute on the whole purchase. Now I keep receiving a error message. What can I do?

Which dispute are you trying to open and did you complete paying for the item?

Hello @Zarahjulia,

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting here! Thanks, @kernowlass.

I am sorry that you're facing issues while filing and disputing a charge. Not to worry, I am here to assist you. Please be informed that only completed payments can be disputed. If the transaction status shows "pending" you will need to wait until the transaction shows as completed. If you have not received the item or if the item is significantly not as described, please check this Help Center Article to know how to open a dispute with a seller. Since the payment was made but the seller has shipped it, you can select the reason as Item Not Received (INR). Once you submit the case, our concern team will investigate and get back to you with the update via email and Resolution Center. If you're still unable to report the charge, please reach out to our Customer Support. You can contact Customer Support by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page for further assistance. Support is also available through Facebook private messages or Twitter direct messages.

Regards,

Ayesha
