Hello, so I recently got email with $5.000 deposit to my account. It was odd because it was from paypal with random numbers with gmail which if weird. And I had to pay $25 fee. I understand that there is a fee but I didn't recieved any notification on paypal app which i had to get according to google. Yea and now the scammer complains about how it cannot be cancelled. I reported it to paypal as a phishing email so im waiting for their response.

You never pay any upfront fee as a seller.

Ignore scammers that send fake Paypal emails telling you that you need to pay an upfront fee to verify/upgrade/or any other reason to 'accept' a payment.

You would certainly never have to send funds via another payment processor/bitcoins/ or tokens/vouchers of any sort.

Any fee is auto deducted by Paypal at the same instant the remainder of the payment is credited to your Paypal account balance.

No funds in your balance = you have not yet been paid, even pending/held payments will still show in your Paypal account activity.

So im just asking if i should trust him even tho the email was from gmail and paypal doesnt have gmail. Thank you for your answer
