Thank you. What I don’t understand is why when I make a payment I need my mobile, my password and then PP also send me a pass code but when these two thieves bought things using my account (one in america one in oxford ie not my name and address) they were successful why did these people manage to spend my money ? They didn’t have my mobile, my password or my pass code. PPal are quite correctly giving my money back but how was it taken in the first place ? I will be cancelling my account.

Hey @rogertb,

I certainly understand how concerning this can be for you. The security of your account is important to us. The majority of Unauthorized Account Access cases are a result of inadvertently providing account information, such as bank or credit card account numbers, on fake websites. In such cases, please report the incidents immediately to us by clicking the contact us option at PayPal page, so we can investigate further. To learn more about online safety, click Security near the bottom of any PayPal page.

Best wishes,

Bindu

Ok, I’ll attempt to be understanding and polite though my patience is fading. Nobody has access to any of my details. How were these fraudsters allowed access to my account without a pass code and without my mobile device ? How many more times … it is impossible for me to spend money without (1) my mobile phone (2) my password and (3) the pass code … how did paypal allow the thieves to circumvent these requirements ?
