Hi I have a weird case of refund and I am not sure what is the correct action.
I made reservation with Airbnb, I cancelled reservation BEFORE deadline and the transaction was reversed by Paypal.
Yesterday a case was opened regarding the transaction, where I need to provide reasons for reversal.
The only two options are:
1. I had an issue with my order or seller
2. I had no issue, I reversed the payment by mistake
Both options are wrong. I had no issue or mistake, I reversed because I no longer needed booking, and Airbnb policy provided full refund.
In case I will not respond to the case, PayPal says "we'll recover the amount from your PayPal balance". What does it mean? Do I lose my refund? How to respond to this case correctly?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, I see no activity so far in this post. I don't think Airbnb refunds are rare scenarios, does anyone has any idea what the above case means?

Hello @bongshrug,
Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear a recent refund is causing a bit of concern. Is the case you're mentioning open on PayPal or on AirBnB? If it was opened on PayPal's side, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Support teams for assistance. If this was on AirBnB, their support teams would be able to guide you through that case more effectively.
Good luck and best wishes!
