PHISHING ALERT Springfield Armory

Anybody else received a notice from PP saying you have just made a payment to Springfield Armory?

Pls can you help?

I am in UK where we are not allowed to have guns or ammo yet here is a notification saying I have just spent $499.00 with Springfield Armory.

How do I make sense of this. Sorry for being so naive, this is a first for me.

Suspect fraud. I am in UK. Email rec'd from PP today says I paid $99.00 to Springfield Amory. Could not have done. No record of any such transaction on My Accoun. KINLY STOP PAYMENT IMMEDITELY!!!

Mine was from Bolt Armory for $799, thankfully I know its fraud because that email doesn't belong to any PP. Double Checked bank & didnt respond. Now to send that fraud email to pp.

Hi! I have an email today from an Adam's Armory LLC. 249.00 It's in California. I'm up north in Minneapolis/ Wisconsin area. I been getting lots of emails saying all this money came out of my account. I thought...I dont have all that money! Be careful of checks coming in high amounts too. Call PayPal. Not merchant. You don't know who you're really talking to. I'm going to call PayPal now. Ever since we got rid of the Central Bank...weird things going on. I hope nothing happened to your account. Take care! These are continuing.  I just got one claiming "Your purchase of $695.97 has been confirmed from your account by Hawk Creek Armory."

Do not click on anything in such an email.  If you hover over a link it might say its to PayPal.com but do not trust it.

Go to your PayPal account directly by typing in "PayPal.com" in your browsers address bar (or your own saved link of course).

I received the same today from Nightstar Armory LLC for $712.98.  If you check the 888 phone number provided you will see it is not associated with Paypal.  Also, sign into Paypal and check your transactions.  You will most likely not find a charge there because this is indeed a phishing scam.

I got an email today, Modern Armory, $791 never made this purchase. CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD ON PAYPAL IMMEDIATELY and contact fraud division

Seems they are trying this scam all over again. Just got an email with an "Invoice" attached for something I have never seen nor purchase. Good thing this Forum exists to alert users that it is a scam. An old one, but being recycled.

My FAKE email was Fall Creek Armory for a purchase of [removed] for $731.56. However when I check who email is from it is [removed] so that tells me phishing scam. Also checked my account and no charges in my PayPal where present. They give a bogus " PayPalDispute Team phone number to call [Removed. Phone #s not permitted](Toll Free). They want you to call to get account info from you, I am sure. I did not call or reply to email.
