hi. thanks for getting back to me. the problem has been solved. i contacted amazon< of which the merchant is selling from, and they said that amazon blocks email addresses when replying on the message board, intern if i give the merchant my email address, amazon blocks it and the merchant can't see what it is, so therefore, replacing the dot with a comma enables the merchant to see the email address so that he/they can send me an invoice through PayPal .

thanks

tom
