Is there a way to get an alert if my account is used more than a dollar amount?
Or to freeze my account until I use it?

Hi @cgaumont,
Thank you for your post!
I do understand your concern with this. Currently, PayPal does not have a feature where you can freeze and unfreeze your account yourself.
If you want to add extra secuirty to your PayPal account you can do so by enabling 2-step verification for login. This means, along side entering your password you’ll enter a unique, random 6-digit access code to access your account.
For further details, please click here.
I hope this helps!
