Lenovo laptop issues

Hello! I bought a Lenovo laptop in Jan 2023. By Feb, there was a problem with the hinge. I’m now being accused by Argos that it’s AD when it sits on a desk. It’s not been dropped. Upon further investigation, I’m being told Lenovo is notorious for dodgy hinges. I’ve tried all I can, the last resort disputing with Paypal which I cannot do either as it doesn’t allow it for me. I’m not sure where to go from here, can anyone help?

You could try a dispute for item received but not as described via clicking on the transaction in your paypal account and using the resolve a problem link.

However you may not win as you received it quite a while ago and since then anything could have happened to it.

Failing that if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card you could see if they will chargeback for you.

Lastly you have the option of the UK small claims court against Argos if you want to risk that route?
