Any harm sharing your paypal primary address to recieve a prize? Apparently I won a prize of Crypto online in a random facebook post. They claim to be legit. I have not given any paypal details or person info. They only found me because I replied to the puzzle.

Hi @Margtehuia,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the community!
While simply having your email address would not give someone access to your PayPal account, it certainly could be part of a data mining ploy. On Facebook, people generally have their real full names, their birthdates, and lots of other personal information in their profile or posts that could be combed through for data that could be used to try to guess your passwords. There's also a chance that once they get your email address, there will be other "necessary steps" for claiming your winnings that involve divulging further info, or even other types of possible phishing attacks. If your gut is telling you that it's suspicious, it's sometimes best to listen to your gut.
I hope this helps!
Olivia
