This is what I see.  I did not click on any links in the email.  I logged into paypal directly and this was on my dashboard.Capture.JPG

Then it appears someone sent you crypto. PayPal allows PayPal users to send crypto to other PayPal users.

Did the email say who sent the crypto? If yes, is it from someone you know?

Otherwise, I would hold off accepting it and try to find out who sent it. Maybe a friend sent you crypto as a surprise gift.

Contact customer service, they might be able to tell you who sent it:

https://www.paypal.com/smarthelp/contact-us

Scroll down to click “Message Us” or “Call Us” option on the bottom.

Or reach out to PayPal at Facebook or Twitter:

PayPal on Twitter

Log on to your account directly at PayPal website. Do not click any links in emails. Check if there is indeed a payment waiting for you in your account. If there isn’t, then it’s a scam/phishing message.

It's probably a scam. I have the same "crypto coin" message, too. I'm not clicking that.

It happened to me, too.  I am not expecting anything and so won't click on it.

The weird thing is that this isn't some email that someone sent to me phishing.  This is in the PayPal UI.  PayPal is supposed to keep me safe with financials online - is there some way that people have figured out how to scam me even going through PayPal's regular system?
