I was online buying a leaf blower from a website and it sent me to PayPal to pay. So I went through the steps to make the payment and then at the end it says I made a "Donation" and I have no idea what's happening. I realize I was just scammed.
Only too late did I find out PayPal doesn't cover fraud if it's a donation...no idea what that is about.
So are there any suggestions how I can get PayPal to fix this?
Sadly there is no paypal buyer protection for donations, when it said that you should have not gone through with checkout.
Always research the sites you purchase from especially if the item is unusually cheap as its either tat or a scam.
If you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then you could see if they will help but they may refuse for the same reason ie it was a donation, worth a shot though.

I'm also I found an iPhone used site through Facebook and paid there through PayPal, but I didn't receive the item. As I checked, my payment details were in the form of donation, and I had a dispute with PayPal, but it was not resolved. How can I get a refund of $118.32. I feel wronged.
