Fraud. Stolen money, hacked account. Unauthorized payment

Someone hacked my PayPal account and probably sent the money to one's account. After 1 day bot "investigation", Paypal support claims there was no unauthorized transaction. By the time being tho I've been at the hospital and had no internet connection (3rd Aug). I'm sure I haven't been logging in a while on PP. Isn't there anything else I could do? The person who received money has a kinda Russian name and is located outside the US. I'm also supposed to pay about $17 probably for that transaction fee. Why should I especially that I've never authorized that payment? Why Paypal can't check it by IP that i haven't done that payment myself? Or localize the receiver? They should take 10-14 days with real staff to o investigate the problem instead auto check that there was nothing suspicious. That's ridiculous. I'm quitting PayPal. Too many bugs and holes in security. I should've sent every cent toy bank account in the first place but obviously I've been too naive thinking PP is a safe platform. Isn't there anything else aside from a local police i could get help from?

Anyone? I've also been charged with $15 and my client got his money back even though I explained my Twitter account was hacked as well and I've been at the hospital so i couldn't reach out to him and reply earlier. I did explain that on Paypal though when the case was still open. No one seemed to even read my message. No answer what was wrong with my message. Why couldn't i even talk to my client? That's ridiculous. No communication between me-paypal-client. Just charge me cause they say so so i can't even defend myself.

Well now. That's just ridiculous. Now PP wants me to pay the fee for stolen money (unauthorized transaction) from me. So that's it? Is this PP justice? Like no serious investigation and instead I'm being threatened with debt collection. That's not very nice at all.

unfortunately, I was in the same situation.  Two strange charges for "fishing game" through fastspring, went to website written in Russia & they charge 15-75 euros for a simple fishing game (water & fishing pole ?!).  Seems like fraud, because not something would ever look at, so much buy, and charged two $16.70 charges on the same day (June 2022).  Appealed to paypal and had automatic response nothing unusual and nothing they would do about it.  Bad AI and bad company policy.  No appeal process that I could find.  Immediately removed all my credit card & financial information from Paypal because it's not safe and no recourse.  Will escalate to credit card and avoid Paypal for all future payments.
