Case closed but money still pending

Buyer opened a case because they didn't recognize the name that was on paypal. We talked and it was just a misunderstanding, the issue is resolved between us. Buyer confirmed they closed the case 3 days ago and sent me screenshots, but the money is still pending on my end. I talked to a PayPal Assistant and they told me that if the buyer closed the case, the funds will automatically go back to my PayPal Balance, but they're still pending. What do I do? Do I still have to wait PayPal's review to receive the money back?

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum. 

 

Once a buyer closes the case, the funds should come off hold. It can take up to 48 hours for the hold to be released sometimes but this does not happen often. 

 

If 48 hours pass and the buyer said that they have closed the case, I would ask that you check the Activity section of your PayPal to ensure you do not have a separate hold on this transaction, see: Why is my payment on hold and when will it be available?

 

Otherwise, please visit your PayPal Resolution Center and select 'Go To Account Limitations' to ensure your funds are not being held due to an account limitation
