PayPal Sandox Fee

Hi,

I am setting up an ecommerce and I am using PayPal Sandbox to make some test.

PayPal should have 3,4% + 0,35€ fee per transaction, but using PayPal Sandobx it seems that fees are 2% per transaction.

Is there something I am missing?

Do I have to set up fee on PayPal Sandbox?

HI Andrea,

The fees being paid depend on the fee rate set on the account.

Please share the merchant id / payer id from your sandbox account so we can review that for you.

Instructions on how to retrieve the merchant id / payer id from your sandbox account can be found in the thread pinned to the top of this forum titled "how to report a sandbox issue."

I have a Business account but I cannot find the Merchant ID, specifically I cannot find the "the gear icon showed on the account overview page".

Could you please help me to find?

Hi Andrea,

Thank you for posting to the PayPal Sandbox Community.

Each country has different rates and fees based on the currency that they are processing with.

Here is a listing of PayPal Fees:

If you scroll down to the bottom and click on the flag you can see the fees associated with your particular sandbox account. If your Sandbox account is a US account it will have different fees than an account in another country.

If you have the new Business View that has your name in the top right here are the steps to obtaining the Merchant ID:

• Click on your name at the top right

• Click on Account Settings
• Click on Business information
• PayPal Merchant ID is found on this page

thanks for your reply.

Regarding the PayPal tax fee the page you posted is the one on which I was looking for the PayPal fee which do not match with the Fee applied on the Sandbox, reason why I opened this thread.

Regarding the Merchant ID, in my view I cannot see what you posted:

Where can I find the merchant ID?
