Transaction history from more than 3 years ago.

How can I find my transactions made more than 3 years ago?
It is currently not possible it seems, but that can't be right.

I am specifically wanting to access my transaction history and ID's from 2010 and onward as I need it for proof of identity.

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're facing while viewing the transaction history. You can download a report of all your transaction activity for up to the past 7 years. Here's an article from our Help Center on how to download a statement report of PayPal transaction history. If you want to have statements from more than 7 years, I would suggest you contact our customer support team.
