How do I change the Date Format on Report Criteria

When I go to set the dates in the Activity report I get the dates in US format - not the end of the world, but it throws me and makes me wonder if I've not set my regional settings somewhere?

For example below, this looks like 9th Feb to the 10th Feb, when it actual fact it's 2nd Sep to 2nd Oct.
