How can I obtain a letter from PayPal for ITIN purposes?

I'm a foreign citizen living outside of the U.S. but I'm currently receiving income from a US company via PayPal. I need an ITIN Taxpayer number for my income, but the company I am working with told me to ask PayPal for that information. I need a letter to the IRS from PayPal to confirm that I'm requesting the ITIN number, do you know where to obtain that?

All US payment processors, including PayPal, are required by the Internal Revenue Service(IRS) to provide information to the IRS about customers who receive payments for the sale of goods or services through PayPal.
