Activity (including balance and fees)

I USED to be able to click "Activity (including balance and fees)" on the homepage and get the activity showing the balance (duh), but now it says on the Activity page "You can get the details of balance impact from each of these payments in a customized Activity download report."  Funny that there would be a link to view the activity including the balance but it won't let you actually view the balance... but anyway.  So, I click on the link and put in a request for the fricking report, and over 22 hours later it's still not ready for me to view.  Last night about an hour after requesting the report (which I really needed immediately, hence the reason I clicked on the link saying I could view it), I sent a message to the message center, and this afternoon I received an email that there's a response, but the message center won't let me actually view it.  Anybody know how to actually view the balance like it used to show?  I swear, the website gets less and less useful and helpful every month it seems.

I have a thread about this and this is my latest:

"After 2 days of messaging with PayPal (and having to ask them to actually read my message as the first reply wasn't related to what I'd asked at all), I know that we now have to go to Activity > All Reports > Statements and download the CSV file which I then have to spend time editing so that it shows what we need.

Very annoying when it used to just take a couple of clicks and print. Especially as the page we used to use still says "Including balance" when it doesn't!"

But a fellow poster had this response from PayPal so maybe we may have it back soon:

"I certainly agree with you 100%. You shouldn't need to go into your reporting and download a report to see this. Our team is working to ask the reporting team to add the column back.

They mentioned that this isn't at all an attempt to hide any fees as those fees should be clearly showing in the activity page with or without the Balance column, but rather they've had some inconsistencies with the balance showing incorrectly so they opted to remove it. We're asking them to add it back with the resolution in place as you requested.

As a workaround, you can still download the activity report where you'll see the Balance column. Thank you for your patience as I understand that this is a huge inconvenience."

Yes, that didn't work for me either.

This is what I now have to specifically do to get the balance:

Go to Activity > All Reports > Statements > Download CSV.

I then need to edit the Excel download to just the info we need. But you should find balance here.

So it's a lot more work than it used to be... Just going to a page and printing it!
