1099-K form error
In 2019, I made $ 18,000 sales with my PayPal business account, but since my transaction count is 337, PayPal sent me a 1099-K form. However, if you had to write my company's tax number on the form, it would say my personal tax number. I can't get my tax refund from the IRS as PayPal didn't fix this! How do I solve this situation? The 1099-K form should be given to my company because I am doing my job through my company and it is impossible for me to be taxed personally!
PayPal said me:
"Thank you for contacting PayPal Customer Support. My name is Donald and I am happy to assist you/
1099K forms are issued based on the account owner's SSN, so the company name wouldn't be an issue, or even the type of account (Business or Personal).
For PayPal to generate a 1099K you must meet two thresholds: $20,000 in sales and 200 or more transactions annually."
