ebay not delivered, gone over 45 days, seller not communicating - HELP!!!!!!

I paid for some Leeds fest tickets on the 24th of May, the seller said he would have them to me before the end of June, they did not arrive, since then I have chased him for the tickets. I have gone onto ebay and paypal to find that the transaction is over 45 days old and they wont help.

What can I do? I thought I was protected using ebay / paypal!

Hey there GLRKAR,

Sorry to hear you never received your item.

I regret that once over the 45 days PayPal cant investigate the transaction. I would advise opening the dispute anyway if you have not yet done so. Although the dispute will be automatically closed it will be marked on the sellers account and the more noted on a sellers account will help us towards taking the appropriate action on that seller.

It was necessary to cap the time allowed to make a buyer claim to avoid the PayPal system being exploited for fraudulent means. It would also be unfair to ask sellers to keep the type of information required for a Buyer dispute indefinitely.   

Depending on the funding source you have used, card or bank, you may have protection with that. It may be worth looking into if it is a substantial amount.
