Refund to someone in the UAE?

Hi guys,

If I refund a payment I was made from someone in the UAE, and I am in the UK, will that refund go to the persons paypal account or the persons direct bank account? I ask as in the UAE you have to have certain requirements to withdraw cash from paypal, so therefore this person that has sent me the cash will not be able to meet those requirements quickly and withdraw their money. But if the refund goes to the bank card that was used to make this payment, that would be perfect as then the person would not have to withdraw from their paypal account.

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!

Within the UAE customers can only fund payments using a verified Visa Card. Due to banking regulations we must send a refund back to the original funding source so yes the refund will be processed back to your buyer's card and they will not need to withdraw the funds themselves.
