Refund query

Okay an item was sold on my account without my authorisation, the item never arrived and  the buyer has bombarded me with texts saying he wants me to refund him his money asap and to cancel the echeque. Okay fair enough as I am a kind hearted woman and these text messages caused me a great deal of stress I have refunded the buyer of the item via the 'send to family and or friends' option, so he has received his money. now today I have had an email saying that they have now refunded him the money also, and now I have a negative balance in my Paypal account and the buyer has received 2 lots of refund, to the value of £528.68

I have emailed the buyer to say I want my money put back in to my paypal account asap.

PLEASE HELP I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

Why would you send him a "gift" via friends / family and not use the REFUND option in the details of the transaction so that paypal could see the buyer was refunded??

bit confused re your post.

first if there is not a refund option then the echeque could not have cleared ???

if it had not cleared then why did you not cancel the echeque and that would have refunded the buyer??

you can't refund an uncleared echeque.

I am new to PayPal nit sure what to do. I suppose there was the refund st the beginning but when they said they had begun the process of refunding him the refund option disappears. I just want an answer on how I can get my money back can you look into it for me

No sorry, this is a user to user forum and not paypal customer services.

However no one can force a buyer to re-pay a gift payment you sent them via friends / family.  Smiley Sad
