Refund has now been pending for 14 days

I know a lot has been written about this but this is rediculous.

I placed an order on the 4th May and because of a stock problem cancelled the order within minutes of placing it. The company refunded me straight away.

An email from Paypal said it was pending until the 17 May.

The full amount left my bank account on 9 May.

It is now the 18 May and it is still pending and even worse I can get no response from Paypal.

I live in France but am unable to contact a real life english speaking customer service agent, just the run around on their french language automated system.

Takes 5-7 business days so as it left your bank account on the 9th then it should clear through to paypal by today hopefully and then they will release it to you.

The clearance date posted is usually a "guesstimate" as banks differ.

I can understand your frustration . I have two refunds pending from the same company. One made on the 17/11/16 and the other on the 23/11/16..These are still unavailabe and marked " pending "

The company tell me the funds have cleared their end.

The frustration is , when i ring paypal and actualy get to speak to someone, i get the impression they are reading from a script.

I have in fact rung three times and  on each ocassion I have been given different reasons as to why the amounts are still pending.

In contrast when i had reason the ring my credit card company over problem, a real person dealt with the problem straight away.

Once this is resolved,  i will never again use paypal as a means of buying any items from independant retailers, instead i will always use my credit card and leave paypal to buy low cost nuts and bolts etc from e-bay

Update :

My refunds have since cleared, however I will  now be reluctant to make any large purchases with pay-pal untill i am assured that their method of contact to sort out problems is improved.
