REVERSED PAYMENT HEADACHE!

Hi,

I recentley cancelled my direct debit to Paypal by accident. Unfortunatley this meant that all pending payments were disrupted and refused/reversed. As it stands I have rectified my negative balance and added my bank account back onto my account (currently waiting to verify this). However the problem I have got is that the two ebay transactions that were reversed/refused have now gone to disputes and Paypal is now holding the money. So I have a few questions-

-- When my bank account is re-verified, am i right in thinking that these refused payments will automatically clear and go to the sellers?

- How do I resolve these disputes as it was through no fault of the sellers and i am not actually wanting to "dispute" the item/transaction? Paypal has emailed one of the sellers from ebay and asked for proof of purchase- but i am not disputing that i recieved the item! How can I resolve this without the sellers having to provide proof of purchase? Am i right in thinking that when these are solved then sellers will recieve their rightful payments?

Help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Hi there Abbieb92,

If you have received an email advising you that there has been a failed direct debit with your bank, you would need to initiate the verification process on your PayPal account again.

If there was pending payments through your PayPal account, these may fail and we will try to debit the funds from the back up credit/debit card that is registered on your PayPal account.

If the payments are refused by your back up funding option, you would need to resolve your negative balance before the cases will be resolved and then the money will be released back to your sellers.

Please let me know if you require additional assistance in the future.

Hi,

Thanks so much, this has been really helpful. I've resolved my negative balance and the cases are now closed, hopefully this will mean the payments will now be released back to the sellers.

Thanks again

I was scammed by people buying Quarkcoins.

Paypal claim to be the safer way to pay!! only if you're a scammer, paypal has more holes than a Swiss cheese.

Payments were made and held whilst reviewed, then realeased once reviewed.  Then the accounts had obviously been compromised and Paypal reversed the payments even though I had sent the goods, I waited until paypal had cleared the payments before sending the goods.  When could I have sent them without being scammed??

Paypal always goes against the seller, always takes the buyers or scammers side.  It also doesn't help that you can't sell things on ebay without offering paypal ...... one big Monopoly!!
