No reply From PP on short fall refund

Hi, I had a refund from a seller, Paypal kept me hanging on for a week although when I bought the item I paid within minutes. Anyway I did not get the full amount refunded that I used to pay so sent Paypal via the message centre a request to advise why the short fall? I received a mail saying "valued customer etc etc and would reply in 24 hours so waited but nothing except the option in the your a valued customer mail saying "If we haven’t answered your question, please reply to this email and our team will answer you as soon as possible" so I did and got redirected back to the message centre with the same options again so sent another mail and still await a reply!! Remember I am a valued customer!! It says so in the email from Paypal!!. Russ

OK firstly you may pay within minutes but what happens is that paypal CREDITS the seller for you and they take the wait for the funds to transfer from your funding source.
If that was you bank account then once it has left your bank account from 2 hour up to 3 days later > it then goes via electronic transfer and paypal get it 5 days later.
But with a refund YOU take the wait for the funds to transfer from the sellers bank account so you have the 5-7 days wait instead and once its cleared through to you its credited to your balance.
Sounds as if the seller sent the refund as a payment rather than a refund and so you were charged a fee as a seller???

Understand what you have said but how do you get Paypal to respond to mails sent from the message centre as all I get is the same pre-set reply. Thanks again. Russ

Their response to emails is pretty abysmal.
Try one of these ways instead >>>
Click on the words "Contact" at the bottom of your paypal account summary page and use the phone option (if there is one in the country you are in) > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).
When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".

have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
