Monarch - I'm trying to claim a refund

Anyone had any success in getting a claim about Monarch into Paypal's Resolution Centre? I've tried three times and no case is appearing in the RC. The latest time I tried the PP system responded by saying I'd already raised this issue (or words to that effect). But the RC still shows no active case.
Thanks

Thanks for the advice I have followed it but as no one can get through by phone, would it not be better to have a link which actually works? There will be enough admin work for anyone working at Paypal as it is.

I am guessing the system is crashing as mine didnt register, I called this morning and it took about 20mins to get through. This is what I know;
yes is you are within 180 days you are covered - it was confirmed on the phone to me
they are having a lot of calls through, at 8.30 there was over 100 calls in the queue for claims but the usual customer service logged the claim and I can now see it in the resolution centre
Don't try and use the automated system just ask for customer service.
Sadly there will be a wait and they can't advise on timescales due to the amount of calls ( understandable) but be patient with them. They will log the claim, it will be visable on your resolution centre.

Hi,
What number did you call? The only one I managed to use was the automated one which didn't give an option to talk to a human being. I would be patient if I knew that someone at the PayPal end was paying attention to my issue.
Thanks

It was 08003587911 it seems to have been taken off where I found it on the website so I am guessing they are being innudated still.
I know its easy for me to say as I am pretty much sorted but keep trying even though it is frustrating

I had also tried this morning to raise a transaction dispute without success via the Paypal website. I then called the 08003587911 number and after going through the automated system for about ten minutes the robot person told me that the value of the transaction was zero pounds (instead of the upwards of £400 I had paid) and that the money had not yet been requested by the seller. It is just under one month since I made my purchase.
I then said "speak to a person" at which point I was put through into a queuing system. After being on hold for 45 minutes I had to leave for work. I just tried to call this number again and after going through the automated security I again said I wanted to speak to a person. I was this time connected pretty much immediately to a woman who found the transaction details, raised the claim and immediately escalated it. I have had two emails to confirm this. She said that if the seller doesn't respond with a refund within ten days the claim will be automatically closed and I will be issued a full refund.
I expressed concern that this might not actually occur given the Monarch situation but she told me that the money would not be coming from Monarch but would instead be taken from the Monarch account that is held with Paypal. She told me she could "guarantee" that I would get all of my money back.
I am now hopeful that I will actually get a full refund but will only be able to breathe easily once the money is back in my account. It will be a tense ten days.

Just Made a call to 08003587911 into automated phone system. asked by machine to confirm my registered phone number from which I'm calling is linked to account. Then asked to key in last 4 digits of credit card linked to account, then when asked what I was calling about I asked to "speak to customer service" it asked for more details so I repeated "speak to customer service" system said would be transfered to someone who could help. On hold for about 2 minutes picked up by servise advisor who asked what about I said a Monarch Flight claim. Asked for date of transaction in my case 5th Sept this year advisor could see tranaction for £107. Said they would process claim should take about 10 - 14 days for refund and will email with result. Will be able to see claim in Resolution Centre. Whole thing took about 4 mins. So I would say PatPal have got their act together. Will have to wait and see if and when they refund?

Sounds like they are less busy today, guess most called yesterday.
Hopefully it means they can start processing the claims. I just want my money back, I am not very good at being patient but I do know that Paypal will sort it out just may take longer than normal due to the volume.
So grateful to have used Paypal for the payment in the first place. Only did so as I was too lazy to get the card out of my bag
