Where did my refund go

I had a refund, it was posted in my account.  I left it there and went back the next day and it was gone.  It did not go back to my bank account so where is it?

I know that this is quite concerning, may I ask how was the payment funded originally?

If your payment was funded by a card, when you're receiving a refund it goes back directly to the card. Unfortunately PayPal is not in control on how fast or when it will show on your statement. Generally it can take a couple or 5-7 working days.

Another possibility is that, If your refund was credited already to your PayPal balance and you purchased something, you might have used it on that purchase. PayPal uses any money in the account first before requesting funds from your bank.

I am listed on November 7 as having a refund on my Pay Pal Debit Card of $250.00.  So where does this money go?  I have nothing to show in it on November 8 in my pay pal account.
