WHERE IS MY REFUND???????????

On October 27th, I made a purchase on Ebay and payed with PayPal. The item was out of stock.

On November 1st., The company posted a refund on paypal and it shows in the history.

It was on hold, but then showed as refunded to me on November 2nd.

I NEVER RECEIVED A REFUND!!

It is NOW December 5th.

It is PAST the 30 day period Paypal says it sometimes takes for the refund to post to my debit account.

WHERE DID MY MONEY GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is very frustrating.  I made a purchase on buy.com who canceled my order because it was not shipping to my Paypal verified address.  Paypal paid buy.com instantly from my bank account and the order was canceled the next day and refunded to my paypal account.  But no money.  That was December 10th and today is the 15th.  I need that money back in my bank account.  I had to reorder the items with my debit card rather than use my paypal account and now I am still waiting for paypal to credit my paypal account a refund from 5 days ago and I will have to wait another 3-5 days to get it back into my bank account once it eventually arrives.  At a minimum that is 8 days someone else is holding my money while I have to transfer funds from savings to cover the double cost of purchasing these items until the day comes when I receive my money.  I can transfer money from one bank account to another instantly..even to another persons bank account.  Why can't paypal do this?  If paypal can pay the seller instantly out of their own funds they should also pay the purchaser instantly when there is a refund.  It seems ludicrous that a seller gets paid instantly but I have to wait 8 plus days to get my money back after a simple canceled transaction.  What this means is that I will learn my lesson and not use paypal except when absolutely necessary or for very small transactions.

I am glad to see that you understand the Ebay/Paypal picture.   I too have seen the don't buy at Ebay/Paypal light.

There is no Buyer's protection at these sites, your better off using a credit card vs debit card or even Paypal.

To withdraw funds to your bank account:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click Withdraw at the top of the page.
3. Click Transfer to Bank Account.
4. Enter your information and click Continue.
5. Click Submit.

It usually takes 3-4 business days for the money to appear in your bank account.

I'm still waiting for my refund for a purchase that I made on ebay and subsequently sent back and forth until the item was deemed non-repairable. I spoke to Paypal and they had me verify my bank account and stated it would be 3-4 days. It's been 2 weeks, help?

I have checked Paypal account, my bank account for the last 5 months there has been no refund or payment on my refunded purchases.  I have gone online through my history 1 by 1 (I have over 100 purchases in last 6 months) and cannot find my refund anywhere.  Plus, by their own rules if I use my debit card it should go back to my account.  I have over a $100.00 In refunds that is missing.

I have emailed Paypal so far nothing has showed up since July.  Now what.

I would check with your bank and see how long you have to file dispute/chargeback.  Never wait too long to dispute with your bank/credit card holder.
