sell something using paypal

We are selling a pit bike or craigs list. We have a buyer he wants to pay by paypal.

But l suspect its a scam. l have never sold anything using paypal l have only used it

to purchase things on ebay.   How do i go about doing this and what do l need to do

to protect myself.    Thanks DAVE

You will have no Seller Protection for off ebay sales.

Why don't they just pay by cash.

Also if you still decide to go through with the sale, with or without a paypal payment I would do the following

1.  Ask for their Drivers License and wright down their information.

2.  Make a note of the vehicle(s) they arrived in and also write down their license plate number.

I wouldn't do it.  If the buyer picks up in person ( unlikely, they usually have a carrier do it), you have no online proof of deliery and the buyer can file a dispute and get all of their money back.

Craigslist should be used for Personal pickup only, and Cash on delivery.
