Paypal payment page comes up in Thai ... why?

I've sent following payment link to a customer to setup an automatic payment schedule:

https :// www.paypal.com /subscriptions ?business=billing @ xyz.com & item_name=xyz  & no_note=1 & a3=440 & p3=1 & t3=Y & src=1 & sra=1

(Billijng name and item name obviously changed to xyz.com, spaces have been added, otherwise this forum software won't post it)

This should setup an automatic payment schedule for $100/year. This is something I've done for years without problems but suddenly today a customer tell me when he click this link he get a Paypal page in THAI language.

 Why would that be.

The customer is in UK and obviously does not use Thai.

I happen to be in Thailand but I don't see why that would be relevant.  Again as I said before, I have sent this type of links out for years without this happening!

Hi madsere,

Welcome to the forums!

Because you created the link on your localized Thai account, it is probable that the settings are carrying over via the URL that was generated. Please instruct your buyer that he can toggle the language in the upper right-hand corner of the page, beneath the search field. I hope this helps!

There should be a way to specify the target language.  I just live in Thailand, none of my customers are here and nobody will understand the Thai goobedygook characters, in fact they are just chocked and close the browser.

Why did it only happen once? I send similar links to others and they have no problem?

The actual problem was resolved by having the customer pay by 2checkout.com - but I don't suppose that is the officially suggested solution?
