Not getting some payment notification emails

I get PayPal payments about 5-10 times a week, but there have several payments in the last few weeks for which I did not receive any email notification.  Usually I use that email to let me know that I need to ship orders, so some things were shipped late because I did not realize that they had paid until a couple of days had passed.  If checked my deleted mail, junk mail, spam-filtered mail, etc., and they're not in any of those places either.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Any advice?

Hooray.. got 3 notices of payments with orders today received right away!  Hope this is a sign of good things to come!  Don't want to cross my fingers and toes about it, because then I might double cross myself!  Smiley Happy

WOW!   I just read the lengthy PDF on IPN and creating the code and can only say WOW.   I am not a web designer per say.   I have a small, simple website that I made with Komposer but the code for IPN is way beyond me.

I chose PayPal as my payment method because it was supposed to be an easy method and the buttons did integrate well.   But I anticipate selling only 2 or 3 items a week or maybe none and I completely rely on the e-mail notification.   I don't know if this problem affects me as I just set up the web site and haven't had a sale yet.   I cannot keep logging into PayPal (a multi-step process now) to just check if someone has placed and order, nor should I have to.   One of the features of the buttons was to receive notification upon payment.

Maybe this won't affect my website as my recent experience was with an e-bay sale.   Time will tell and hopefully any customers that order from my website will send an e-mail when they order.

This happened to me yesterday afternoon on a completed e-bay auction.   I was aware from some other users that there might be a problem so after a couple hours without any payment notification, I logged into PayPal and found the payment.

The (Unique Transaction ID #04C52100VK133234F) should be added to the tech problem reports.

I then created a mailing label with PayPal and I received an immediate e-mail notification about that.   So I know the e-mail address is correct (always worked in the past) but now no longer get the payment received notice.

Hope you get this fixed.

Same problem here. I had sent an email reminding the customer to send payment--and then thought to check my paypal account and found that she had paid two days ago. Embarrassing! I changed my email address several weeks ago and afterward had an issue where I could not claim a payment--had to phone to get it resolved. Don't know if this new problem is related, but my old address is definitely no longer in my profile.

I've had this problem on a few occasions over the past five years. Sometimes the email notfication arrives late, more often it never arrives at all.

 

Today I received a payment and was notified within minutes by the PayPal app on my iPhone. So I logged onto the PayPal.com website and checked the transaction history; sure enough, it's there, as expected. That was over an hour ago and I still haven't received an email notification. I'll give it a few more hours, but if it hasn't arrived by the end of the day, past experience suggests it never will.

The email notification for the transaction I mentioned above has arrived -- two hours after I received the notification from the PayPal app on my iPhone. Email headers suggest the delay was within PayPal's internal network. Not good, but at least it worked this time.
