Why has paypal tech support gone south? We're looking at Stripe now.....

Our business has been with paypal since 2007, we've processed millions of dollars through paypal.  For the last few months we keep getting server errors intermittently returned to us from paypal and their tech support is abysmal.  Absolutely abysmal.  Posting a trouble ticket might (if we are lucky) get a response in 7 days.  What?  7 days?  I don't understand what happened to them.  I remember you used to be able to call them.  I guess COVID was a blessing because it allowed the paypal support team to cut themselves off entirely and take zero calls from anyone.

We've lost so many thousands of dollars and the frustration is so high with the absolutely deplorable tech support that we've finally reached our breaking point and are moving to a new gateway.  I know paypal doesn't care.  It doesn't care one bit about losing our business.  But I'm wondering if anyone else here ever gets frustrated with paypal's utterly horrible tech support response times?

We completely understand the trouble and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

I have cross checked the PayPal service logs and haven't located any timeouts/service maintenance.

If your still facing the issue, I would suggest to please create a MTS ticket via -  https://www.paypal-support.com/s/?language=en_US with the error details.

Sincerely,
