PayPal Cashback Mastercard

Cannot use my PayPal Cashback Mastercard in my PayPal account. It just doesn't show in the list of payment methods. That has been the case since July 2023. Before that everything worked fine. I was also able to use my card with some merchant, that use some old version of the API, so it definitely is not a problem with the card.

The customer service keeps trying to fool me around proposing the solutions that don't work - call Synchrony, delete chat history, wait for 48-72 hours, use different source of funding, etc. Then they tell me there is some security system that blocks the transactions, and start the circle again - call Synchrony, call PayPal Credit (not Cashback Mastercard), call PayPal Debit, wait 48 hours, and so on.

Removed/added card from the account, replaced the card with Synchrony Bank, so there is a new number, expiration, CVC.

 

Has anybody faced this problem? And if yes, how was it resolved?
