Android PayPal app crashes continually

Hi PayPal app on Android Samsung S20+ continually crashes on opening, tried the usual "fixes"; Uninstall - clean install Cache cleared App updated Fast constant wireless connection Uninstalled from Play window Uninstall from phone apps Phone restart, any ideas as the problem is clearly with PayPal, let me know when the PayPal app is fit for purpose. On the upside I've found other really good payment platforms other than PayPal, so a loss to PayPal Cheers

Hi Not sure why PP assume no one thinks to update a flaky app, any way sorted the problem by login, logout of PP through a web browser - app' then functioned. Cheers.

Didn't work for me, logged in via the web on phone and it took me straight back to the app. So, tried through my pc and logged in no problem but how that's supposed to fix the app problem, I've no idea as they're not linked.

Hi,

The app failed repeatedly on opening on Samsung S21, no opportunity to log in.

Opened PayPal through Chrome on Windows PC, logged in to PP, logged out of PP.  Opened the app, straight into bio' log in screen.

All good........failing PP app let me try successful alternative platforms!

I am on Google Pixel 7 Pro Android 14, the app crashes as soon as I open. Reinstall doesn't fix the issue, any update on this?

Same problem with new Galaxy S23 Ultra. Crashes on launch even after clearing cache and reinstalling. No longer any way to report through Google Play.

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G - same problem. Reported error to paypal and got runaround for a couple of weeks and then they just disappeared. Still crashes immediately on start. Can log in to my account using paypal app on Note 10+ so seems likely that it is related to bad data left on device. Anyone have luck using a cleanup tool?

What kind of clean up tool? Do you mean something like a registry cleaner like for Windows? Mine is a new phone, so I am not sure what kind of ba data would be on there.
