refund to customer

I recently had a customer request a refund through eBay. I accepted the refund but I also inadvertently refunded the money immediately instead of waiting for the product. Now the buyer is ignoring my messages. He received his money and has the product. Is there anything Pay Pal can do? I realize it was my mistake but just would like to know if I have any recourse.

If the buyer didn't open a dispute to request the refund I believe at this point, there isn't anything you can do.

Thank you, this is what I figured. I will never do that again...learned my lesson. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
