Why does YT state that my PayPal account is closed? I've used this method for years, have no issues with PayPal, no claims for or against, what the **bleep** is going on???

Hello @Stormbringer999,

Have you tried logging into your account? If you can log in OK, then your account is still open. I might recommend checking the Resolution Center to see if there is anything there that needs resolved. Other than that, maybe reach back out to YouTube and see where they're getting their information from.

Good luck!

I had this issue as well, and I'm not sure how long ago this was posted, but I resolved this by chatting with YouTube TV and getting the resolution from them. So, to outline this for others who don't want to go through that process, simply go to Google Payments (YouTube is part of Google). Log in to your Google account and go to your payment methods. You will see your PayPal account there, listed as closed, as mine was. My PayPal account is not closed, but I assume that it got disconnected from Google at some point.  I simply removed it there and then added it back when I went back through the sign up process with YouTube TV. I am not sure if there was a "Fix This" link with the payment. There may have been, but for me, it was easier just to remove it and add it back.

This was the correct procedure, but additionally you need to be sure your "payment profile" is the correct one. To recap

1. Go to pay.google.com

2. Click on Payment methods in the upper toolbar

3. On the upper right corner, from the circle select your correct account, and from the textbox also in the upper right corner, select your correct Payment profile. When you click on the textbox, it will ask you to select your payment profile. Select the one you are using for Youtube (or try everyone of them)

4. Delete Paypal from there and re-add it

Hi, I'm having the same issue, but I can't remove my paypal payment method from youtube.

It says that I need to have at least one payment method active since I've bought a membership (which I didn't because the payment didn't work in the first place...).  So there's nothing I can do to delete or modify the paypal on my youtube account.

Do you know how to fix this?
