why is my payment still showing as pending

why is my payment still showing as pending the seller wont send my part until he recieves the money. The money has gone from my bank acc but it shows as 'pending' my end and his. When will he get his money so i can get the part i need?

We’ll send your payment to the recipient after your payment source has been verified. It also means that your order has been received by the seller, but your payment has not yet been processed. For most purchases, the seller will complete the payment within a few days of receiving the order. For purchases of goods, many sellers will complete the payment when they are ready to send your purchase. For some purchases, such as services, rentals or hotel stays, the seller will complete the payment after your purchase is fully delivered. The status of an order will continue to display as pending until it expires, is completed, or has been voided. If you have any problems with an order, you may contact your seller directly for a quicker resolution. You can find theri contact information on the transaction details page in your Activity. If its pending on yours AND the sellers account then its an echeque.

Transfers from bank accounts are never instant, that is why when you buy something paypal credit the seller upfront for you and paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer to pay them back again, this is so you get your item without delay.

Takes several days to transfer as Paypal use the slowest (cheapest) transfer option BUT funds normally leave your bank account from a few hours up to a few days later.

HOWEVER paypal only take that risk if you have a back up card linked to your paypal account (to reduce risk of the bank transfer failing) BUT even so some higher risk transactions OR friends/family payments will still not be credited in advance and so this time its you and the recipient that has to wait for the funds to transfer.
