When will my money be shown on my account from an international send?

I had a friend from Canada send me money and it is still not in my account. I have had international transfers before but this is the first time this has happened. I have the tracking ID so I know it was sent. I figured that it would at least show a pending or something on my account. I am very frustrated, any info is appreciated.

What currency did they send and have you got that currency added as a receiving currency on your paypal account?
