My online payment preference is my debit card, yet when I used an Uber yesterday the charge has gone to my bank account. Why? What’s the point of having a payment preference if you ignore it and debit it to wherever you like? This happens with other transactions as well. I double checked PayPal preference before I booked the Uber and also checked my payment method in Uber. Uber says PayPal. PayPal says preferred payment method is debit card. Why did it go to the bank account?
