This morning I had a Euro payment to make to a European merchant. I have a Euro credit card on my PayPal account. Paypal system automatically wanted to take the payment from my local (Malaysian) card and converted the amount to MYR. The system would not allow me to switch to my euro credit card. This is the 2nd time this has happened. I spoke to Paypal about this but they did not have a solution.

Hi @hughesg,
I'm sorry that the payment you wished to make was not able to be made with the payment method you wanted to use. It appears that only that card was approved for the transaction. This may be due to declines from the other card's issuer or the system determining that there are risk factors that make that card unable to be used for that transaction. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Olivia
