Hi- I don’t know if this is true .. or a scam. Someone is trying to send me money, but in order to send it - they showed me a picture , it says you have to use a steam card worth 50$ to process transaction, I’ve been googling and can’t seem to find an accurate answer. Is that real? Can hou send 500-1000$ on PayPal to someone and be asked to enter in a 50$ steam card?

It's a scam. PayPal does not ask, have no need to ask you to buy a gift card in order for you to receive payments because they deduct their fee out of the received payment. And what would PayPal want with a Steam card? Makes no sense. The "buyer" is a scammer trying to trick you out of a gift card and did not pay you and have no intention to pay you.
If you do not see a record of payment in your PayPal account activity right this minute, even if the payment is subject to a PayPal temporary hold, you have not been paid, period.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
