Refund pending rescheduled

Hi all. Please help I don't know what to do I paid for a phone I won via auction on ebay. I paid via my paypal balance Within ten minutes of paying using PayPal the seller changed their mind about selling and refunded me the money This happened on 16 July The payment was showing as pending until 24 July with "refund requested 16 july" On 24 July I didn't receive the money and paypal had it still showed as pending I've looked today 25 july and it now shows refund requested as 25 july instead of 16th And has a new estimated arrival of 2 august with original arrival date of 24 July crossed out The refund is still pending. Why do I have a new estimated arrival date Why cant I access my money, it's a considerable amount, over £400 When can I expect this pending refund to be in my paypal account? In summary:I paid for something using paypal, ten mins later the seller refunded. I got an estimated funds cleared fate of 24 july. Now its pending until 2 august Any help appreciated. Thank you

Sounds as if the seller may not have had enough funds in their bank account to fund the refund so it failed and was requested a second time.

Wait and see what happens with this one and if not cleared then open a dispute for non receipt of item.

Thanks for your reply...I'm a bit confused. You say open dispute for not receiving item but I wasnt due to receive the item as they cancelled the sale and refunded me. Should I still open as 'item not received'. Any help appreciated.

If they haven't refunded you or it failed and you didn't receive any item then to get a refund surely you would file a dispute for non receipt of item?

Or do you want to pay them for nothing?
