Refund delay

I was refunded by a third party for a cancelled delay. The money appeared in my PayPal transactions, received from the Irish company. It said it had transferred to my English card yesterday, but not money or ongoing transfer has appeared on my bank card. What could be the holdup?

Issued refunds are returned to original funding source. Arrival times may vary:  

- Bank account payments, 3-5 or 5-7 days, depending on your bank. 

- Cards & PayPal Credit (aka billmelater) about a week, up to 30 days depending on your issuing card. 

- PayPal balance, fairly instant. 

- Split payments between PayPal balance and card/bank, see above.

Its a joke that it takes so long for paypal to refund monies, they seems to be able to take money from you in 2 sec but days to put it back, all the while they are gaining interest from peoples money. no wonder compamies like Ebay are ditching them
