Payment authorised email from PayPal, but no order confirmation from retailer

Hello,

I just placed an order with an online retailer. I did not receive my order confirmation from them, and can't find any proof that the order successfully went through. However, I got the "You authorised a payment to..." email from PayPal, which says that "Your funds will be transferred when the merchant processes your payment" ... my question is, if it is the case that the retailer cannot find my order and it did not go through with them, will the money not actually be taken from my PayPal?

When an authorization is made, funds are held on your funding source pending the merchant capturing payment, otherwise, the authorization expires and the funds are released in a few days, to no longer than 30 days. This process is typical for online transactions .

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
