Pre-authorisation pending, but no confirmation from PayPal or merchant?

Hi. I tried to purchase through the Thomas Sabo website, and the only way I could pay was through PayPal, which i have not done before. Set up all like normal and paid via PayPal, once i clicked continue after selecting my card etc, it took me back to the website where i went to finish/confirm my order. But for whatever reason, the page wouldnt move on, i tried again and it just stayed on the same page.  So i logged onto my bank account, and the transaction is now pending out of my account. However, i havent recieved any confirmation email from either PayPal or Thomas Sabo to say anything has gone through, It simply says its pending.  So now i am panicking as i cant afford to have the money just taken, and i want the money back in my account asap or some sort of confirmation it has gone through. I’ve read the pre-authorisation can be dropped in a week or so? Does this mean the money will go back into my account then? Any advice???
