Pay after delivery

Hi I’m just wondering if anyone else is having a problem with PAD not being an option a checkout? I’ve used it For a few years but the last few weeks it hasn’t been available? I’ve messaged PayPal and have had at least 3 different reasons for it not being available is anyone actually using PAD at present ?

Hi @Sue2610 

We only offer Pay After Delivery to selected customers. If you’ve signed up for it, you’ll have the option to select it during checkout, but you may not be able to use it for all your purchases, including intangible goods and cross-border purchases.

I do have it available on my account and I haven’t paused it or anything,but when I try to pay for any goods even ones I’ve previously bought using PAD it isn’t giving me the option to use it anymore? I’ve had 4 different reasons as to why it’s not working but no actual answer! Is anyone else still using this option during the challenging time of the covid 19 outbreak?

I have this problem and I believe it may be due to the corona virus outbreak it's sort of on hold here is the reply I got from paypal customer service " I understand that you would like to use Pay After Delivery (PAD) as your payment method. From checking, it shows that PAD remains activated on your account although it's not available for your recent payment attempts. Please note that PAD is just an extended feature, even if you're eligible for PAD, it will only be offered for certain purchases. When it’s available you’ll see the option."

I have used it all week and it has been ok but today, I had to use my bank account and it was very strange as I was using one of the sellers that I had paid earlier in the week with pad, so no idea......   I am wanting to make another purchase and pad is not available on this either ..

hi just a update I bought a item today on ebay and during the checkout process I changed my associated email address with my paypal account (I have various email addresses with my account for security reasons) but hey presto I was able to use option pay later!

THANKYOU FOR ALL THE HELP IVE TRYED EVERYTHING YOU SAID TO GET PAY AFTER DELIVERY AS IVE HAD IT FOR YEARS NOW IT DOESNT WORK ABOVE MY BANK CARD I HAVE MY OLD EMAIL ADDRESS HOW DO I CHANGE IT BEFORE I HAD PAY AFTER DELIVERY AND WHEN THE PAYMENT WAS DUE TO BE PAID ANY HELP WOUD BE REALLY HELP FULL

I have 4 email addresses associated to my email paypal account I changed the default one and was able by make a buy now pay later transaction on ebay but I have made other PayPal payments after this and the option was not available again... I believe its due to the merchant/seller not having bnpl and also because of the COVID-19 outbreak... talk to customer service
