Money out my account not sure why

Hey guys just had a look on my bank statement says that PayPal has taken £40 at my Account went over to PayPal to see recent activity and there was nothing to say £40 had been taken out even though on my bank it has been any ideas ?

Did you perhaps bought something for more than £40 and did split payment with PayPal balance and bank debit card? PayPal is not going to show a separate transaction listing for £40 in such cases. Just one record of payment indicating payment was made from two different funding sources totaling a  different amount.

For example, you really spent £60...£20 came from PayPal balance and the £40 from your bank debit card.

If not, reach out to PayPal customer services to inquire. Or just report it to your bank as unauthorized.
